Notes on Performance and Pedagogy
P.J. has been teaching in Western Pennsylvania since 1990. He is a highly acclaimed expert in percussion pedagogy and has built one of the most successful studios in the area. He earned his Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music Performance at Duquesne University.

An adjunct music education and performance faculty member at Duquesne University, and Director of Percussion Studies at Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA, he also maintains active private studios in the Beaver and North Hills areas around Pittsburgh.
​
P.J. has presented numerous clinics and masterclasses throughout the country and writes percussion education and performance articles for the PMEA Journal. His articles have also appeared in The National Federation of State High School Associations. P.J. has collaborated with some of the finest names in percussion including Stanley Leonard, Steve Houghton, Michael Burritt, and Leigh Howard Stevens.
